The influence of Venezuelan cuisine comes from the Native Aborigines, Western Africans, and Europeans from Italy, Spain, Portugal, and France. Venezuelan food has many regional variations. Above all, rice, corn, beans, plantains, tubers, and various meats including game. They are all staple foods. Similarly, Venezuelan side dishes often include tomatoes, onions, eggplants, potatoes, squashes, spinach, and zucchini. Thus, the majority of preparations use Papelón (sugar cane,) and Ají Dulce (sweet peppers.) In addition, steak sauce and Worcestershire sauce are also common in stews.  Not to mention, the mother of all Venezuelan sauces Guasacaca (green sauce.) Of course, we cannot let out another well-known delicacy, the vast assortment of Queso Blanco which is often categorized by area. Last but not least, sweets. Venezuela’s cocoa used to be number one in the world as exporter and quality from which delicious chocolates are still created.
