Our Christmas Ham Bread ships Frozen uncooked. You must bake it yourself.
Instructions on how to bake to obtain a delicious result are included in the package.
Keep frozen in plastic wrap until ready to bake.
When ready, remove from plastic bag. Defrost thoroughly until the dough reaches room temperature.
Once thawed, place on a baking tray preferably over parchment paper and let it sit in a warm environment covered with a kitchen cloth for a minimum of 2 hours until it proofs. Inside the oven with the light on it is highly recommended.
Once proofed brush with a "sweet egg wash" by adding 50 gr of sugar cane (Panela) to a whisked egg for a better result, if no panela available, about 2 Tea Spoons of brown sugar is fine, this will ensure a nice and sweet brownish hue.
Pinch with fork making rings over the top around 1.5 inches between rings to prevent from bursting.
Bake at 325⁰ - 350⁰ F for approximately 40 minutes.
Keep an eye on it after 30 minutes to prevent over cooking and burning.. Enjoy!
